Choose renovation when
The envelope is sound, you dislike the interiors, and wet areas or joinery are failing. Partial kitchen-and-baths or a full turnkey is faster than adding rooms.
Choose extension when
You need a room the current plan cannot give you — ground-floor living, first-floor volume, outdoor majlis. Setbacks and appearance rules decide if it is even legal.
Do both as one programme when
You will touch MEP and façade anyway. One in-house team, one NOC pack, one fixed price after survey beats two contractors.
